Pre-Registration
Saint Clare’s is using Boston WorkStation to automate patient pre-registrations and creating registration records. Much of the captured patient data comes from Saint Clare’s scheduling system, but because there is no easy link between the scheduling system and the patient access system, they use Boston WorkStation to comb through that available data and automatically integrate it into new registration records.
Automating with Boston WorkStation also helps Saint Clare’s reduce manual pre-registrations by 80%. They automate patient refund and check-cashing information from the financial system to their patient accounting system to provide collectors with this key information. With accurate and complete registration records, the billing department no longer needs to spend as much time on patient insurance verification.
